In the Tuesday night swoop, two suspects were gunned around police while the 500 were captured in distinctive parts of the city.
More than 500 extra cops were sent in Nairobi and Mombasa and requested to arrangement savagely with offenders out to cause dread and take from occupants.
Also minutes after they began the crackdown on city boulevards and bequests, police shot dead the suspects in Dagoretti. The two, police said, were in a pack of five that was ransacking individuals in Kamwene in Riruta.
“They had a toy pistol which they were threatening people with. Three of them escaped,” County deputy police commander Moses Ombati said.
