Looking For A New Honda Civic? Try A Chevy Cruze

The new 2019 Chevy Cruze is doing great in the car in the car industry, ever since it came out. Its competitors include the new Honda Civic Sport and the Volkswagen Golf. But what makes the Cruze stand apart from its customers is the ultimate comfortable experience that the car offers. Furthermore, it also comes with several luxury features and quirks, a large trunk and some high level technology as well. When it comes to performance power, the Chevy Cruze falls a little short, compared to its competitors, but overall, it has come out as a great car.

Engine and Performance

The base model of the Chevy Cruze comes with a 153 horsepower, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The engine also has a six speed manual transmission, that gives a good variety for people who love driving manuals. In the diesel variant of the car, there is a turbocharged, nine-speed automatic engine, which roars louder and is a lot faster. Overall, the performance is good. It runs smoothly on the road with great gripping. The suspension is soft so you don’t really feel the bumps and cracks on the roads and all in all, it gives a comfortable driving experience.

Fuel Efficiency

One thing that the Chevy Cruze most definitely performs great at, is in its fuel efficiency. At this power, it is one of the most fuel-efficient cars. Even the diesel variant has a really amazing fuel-efficient mileage, even better than some hybrids. In a 200-mile highway test, the Chevy Cruze sedan with a gas-run six-speed auto transmission gave 36 miles per gallon. On the same test, the diesel variant gave a whopping 56 miles per gallon run-up, which is unbelievably great for any car in this category.

Infotainment & Interior

There’s not much difference when it comes to the interior of the hatchback Cruze and the sedan. The legroom and headroom of both these variants are pretty much similar. However, there’s a slightly higher headspace for the hatchback passengers riding in the backseat. In the base model, the seats are normal and comfortable, but to get those extra adjustable features, etc. you’ll have to opt for Premier Trim. The Premier also comes with the option of a heated steering wheel, but unfortunately, the Cruise Control option isn’t standard in all variants.

If we talk about the infotainment system, the Cruze comes with Chevrolet’s signature MyLink infotainment system which is quite excellent. It has 4G LTE connectivity, and a 7.0 inches touchscreen interface so you can easily navigate through the numerous options that it offers. The overall usage of the system is very simple and owners will learn how to use it in no time and very easily. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can very easily pair your phones to the system and have some fun with it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Chevy Cruze offers great features, at a reasonable price. The engine performance of the car might be slightly lower, compared to the other models of the same car category, but the comfort, fuel economy and the luxurious features that it comes with, in a reasonable price tag, makes up for everything.
